We design 60+ kitchens a year out of our Cherry Hill showroom. Here’s what’s actually getting picked in 2026 — not what’s on Pinterest, what’s getting installed.
1. Two-tone cabinetry, but quieter
Black-and-white contrast is out. We’re installing a lot of warm sage uppers with walnut lowers, or bone-white with mushroom-tone islands. The contrast is still there, just dialed back.
2. Integrated, panel-ready appliances
Refrigerators and dishwashers that disappear into the cabinetry are now within reach for mid-range budgets. We’ve installed more panel-ready Bosch and Fisher & Paykel units in the last 12 months than the prior three years combined.
3. Slab backsplashes
Full-height stone slab backsplashes — quartz or marble — instead of subway tile. Cleaner look, no grout lines to maintain, and surprisingly close in cost once you factor in tile labor.
4. Workhorse pantries
Walk-in or pull-out pantries with outlets inside for small appliances. The countertop stays clean because the toaster, blender, and coffee station live behind a door.
5. Brass — but warm, not yellow
Brushed unlacquered brass on faucets, pulls, and lighting. It patinas over time, which most homeowners now treat as a feature.
