NJ code requires 36" minimum walkway. We typically design 42–48" for two cooks, 54" if the kitchen also serves as a thoroughfare.
Can I add an island to a galley?
Only if you have 8 feet of clear width — otherwise the aisle becomes unsafe. We will tell you straight at consultation.
