Does granite need to be sealed?
Most granites: once a year. Dense exotic granites: every 3–5 years. We tell you which yours is at install.
Granite vs. quartz?
Granite for character, heat resistance, lower cost on basic colors. Quartz for consistency, no maintenance, harder surface.
Can granite stain?
Acidic spills (lemon, wine, vinegar) can etch unsealed granite. Sealed granite resists stains for ~12 months between coats.
