Common questions
Butcher Block Countertops FAQs
Does butcher block warp or stain?
Properly installed and oiled, no. Untreated wood near a sink will warp — we use sealed end grain and proper undersealing.
How often does it need refinishing?
Every 5–10 years a light sand + re-oil. Almost no other countertop offers that "fresh again" reset.
Can I put a dishwasher next to butcher block?
With a heat shield strip and proper underseal, yes. We install many.
